Slotting work in is always quite a challenge, as usually sessions and gigs can easily clash, but yesterday’s work only JUST slotted in.
It meant leaving one recording in London (Henry Wood Hall) at 1:30pm and starting another recording at Assault & Battery Studios, at 1:45pm. That’s a 45 minute journey! So I hired a Limo Bike (motorbike taxi) to swerve me and my trombone between the London traffic to get me there on time. And I made it!
Once I got my breath back, I was straight into recording the soundtrack for a BBC TV series called ‘The Week The Landlords Moved In’ (music by Jim Hustwit, and Larp Music).
