I felt extremely honoured to receive a ‘Beacon of Hope’ Award from the Lymphoma Association earlier this month.
After having battled Hodgkins Lymphoma for many years, I have helped numerous others battling various types of cancer. Sadly when you open yourself up to help others who are suffering, there will be some sad stories, and many people I got to know, are sadly no longer with us. Even so, it is always a pleasure to help those in need at these dark points of our lives.
The Beacon of Hope Award ceremony took place at the Houses of Parliament, which was an added treat!
Huge thanks to my absolutely amazing mum, who came with me that evening!
