Since being diagnosed with cancer in 2004 I have undergone many rigorous treatments, more than most, and as things were progressing I didn’t envisage reaching the milestone of 30, but here I am!
Whilst I was seriously ill going through my stem cell transplant in 2005 my mother got in touch with the Willow Foundation who granted me a special day to be used at some point in the future. I decided it would be best to have a celebration for reaching 30 and a party for all those I love and who have been so wonderful and close to me during such a dark time of my life.
The big party was a 70s theme (1977 to be exact), held in busy bustling central London and the incredible band ‘Serpentine Fire’ performed at the amazement of everyone there. They really made the night special and everyone, I included, danced the night away. A wonderful night, a brilliant birthday and I hope there’ll be plenty more to come. A huge thanks to the Willow Foundation for all their help and for making this night such a memorable occasion.
